2028 Retreats
Finding Your Heart
Sacred Valley, Peru 2028
We are returning to the breathtaking Samadhi Retreat Center in the Sacred Valley, Peru, September 1-7, 2028. If you missed our trip in 2026, be sure to reserve your spot now for this bucket list trip.
Wonder and wisdom are at the heart of every retreat I lead. Together, we slow down enough to fully experience the beauty of a place, the richness of its people and culture, and the insights that emerge when we become truly present. Along the way, we explore timeless ideas from psychology, mindfulness, and philosophy, transforming meaningful experiences into practical wisdom you can carry home and integrate into everyday life.
Whether you're traveling solo, with a partner, or with a friend, you'll be welcomed into a supportive community of curious, like-minded people. Every retreat includes gentle, adaptable yoga, breathwork, mindfulness, guided walks or hikes, journaling, and meaningful conversation. No prior experience is necessary, and every activity is optional. Come as you are, participate in the ways that feel right for you, and give yourself the space to explore, reflect, and reconnect. Custom, personalized retreats are also available; contact me for more details. ~ Joni
Do I need to be flexible or experienced in yoga?
No. Insight with Joni Retreats emphasize gentle and restorative practices, breathwork, and mindfulness. Everything is invitational and adaptable.I’m introverted/nervous about group settings—will I be comfortable?
Groups are usually small, norms are clear, and there’s spacious time for solitude. Many participants arrive solo and leave feeling connected yet unpressured. What does a typical day look like?
A calm morning practice, unhurried meals, nature time, journaling/reflection, and an afternoon restorative or mindful session—plus ample free time. If it’s an international retreat, a few optional excursions will be planned throughout the week.Is this a “fitness” retreat?
No. These retreats focus on nervous-system reset, clarity, and meaning—not advanced poses or long, intense physical sessions. What if I’m brand new to meditation or breathwork?
Great. You’ll receive step-by-step guidance and simple practices you can use at home. Can I come alone?
Absolutely. Many do. We can offer roommate matching when appropriate, and you’ll have time for yourself whenever you need it.What’s included vs. not included?
Generally: lodging, daily practices, group sessions, and select meals/activities (varies by retreat). Travel and certain extras are typically not included—please see each retreat page for details. When you sign up for a retreat, you’ll also receive a retreat agreement that outlines what is specifically included and what isn’t.How physically demanding are the nature activities?
Expect accessible options like mindful walks or gentle hikes. You choose your own pace. And everything is optional.I’m busy—how do I justify the time?
Retreats create a reset that often saves time later—clearer decisions, steadier energy, and practical tools for daily life. What makes these retreats different?
Nature-centered settings, gentle practices, small groups, and trauma-sensitive facilitation from an experienced facilitator focused on authentic connection and meaning.
